The Good You Give Foundation is in its beginning stages.
Before programs can grow, events can serve communities, or mentorship relationships can begin, there is important work happening behind the scenes to build an organization capable of doing those things responsibly.
Founding Support helps us build that foundation.
These early contributions aren't about creating a large organization overnight. They're about putting the right pieces in place so The Good You Give Foundation can grow responsibly, serve people well, and remain accountable to the communities that trust us.
What Founding Support Helps Fund
Founding contributions may be used to support the essential startup and organizational costs required to establish and responsibly launch the Foundation, including:
Nonprofit Formation & Compliance
Government filing fees, charitable registration expenses, regulatory requirements, and other costs associated with establishing and maintaining the Foundation responsibly.
Legal, Financial & Governance Infrastructure
Policies, financial systems, accounting resources, organizational recordkeeping, insurance, and other safeguards designed to protect the Foundation and the people we serve.
The Battle Initiative Pilot
Infrastructure necessary to responsibly prepare for our first mentorship pilot, including participant screening, background checks where appropriate, mentor training systems, program evaluation, and safety procedures.
Technology & Organizational Infrastructure
Website and domain expenses, secure organizational software, communication systems, data management, and other technology necessary to operate professionally and protect organizational information.
Community Outreach & Partnership Development
Resources needed to begin establishing relationships with community organizations, military and veteran organizations, mental-health resources, first responders, service providers, volunteers, and future community partners.
Program Development & Evaluation
Development of the systems, training, safeguards, assessments, and evaluation processes that will support The Battle Initiative, Day of Compassion, and future Foundation programming.
What Founding Support Is Not For
We believe supporters deserve to understand how early contributions are being used.
During this startup phase, Founding Support is not intended to fund salaries or compensation for Foundation leadership, physical office rent, or unrelated personal expenses.
Our priority is building the organizational infrastructure necessary to responsibly launch and sustain the Foundation's mission.
Building Transparently From Day One
Every contribution matters, but so does the trust behind it.
The Good You Give Foundation is committed to maintaining records of how startup contributions are used and communicating meaningful progress to our Founding Supporters as the organization develops.
Founding Supporters will have opportunities to receive updates about organizational milestones, program development, community partnerships, and the progress being made toward launching our first initiatives.
We want the people who help us begin this work to be able to see what they helped build.
Our Current Status
The Good You Give Foundation is currently completing the organizational and regulatory steps necessary to establish the Foundation and pursue federal recognition as a tax-exempt charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
At this stage, we are not representing contributions to The Good You Give Foundation as tax-deductible.
Our organizational and tax-exempt status will be updated publicly as those processes are completed.
